The Parts AND Accessories is a commercial automotive parts distribution and accounting system. It was extensive, turn-key project designed and developed by JEPSAN Group in the mid 1980's.

The target computer is a combo 68010/Z80 running a UNIX-like operating system.  We engineered this using rapid prototyping and milestone proof-of-concept techniques.  The development had a very demanding schedule and a working prototype was completed in less than 75 days.  JEPSAN Group reconfigured the operating system software to handle more peripherals and very fast database access.  We developed the application software.  The system consisted of an 60,000 part database (large for that time), inventory control, point-of-sale, sales accounting, purchasing, remote telcom with automatic purchase orders to the distributor.  25 of these packages were placed throughout Michigan.
